Calm

No longer
the lightning flashing
like an angel's sword
across the earth's
parched throat.

No longer
the monsoon fevered
wind whiplashed
like a thunderclap
across the face.

Storm over.
The quiet ripples
from the verdant center
in ever-widening circles,
a rustle of peace.
